Mobile County Sheriff pushes to add more armed officers at schools following shooting
Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch is advocating for at least one armed law enforcement officer placed at all of the Mobile County School System’s high schools and middle schools in the aftermath of a shooting Tuesday at LeFlore High School.
Burch’s comments also come as the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department, in partnership with the Mobile County School System, recently placed 12 deputies within each of the school system’s feeder patterns that are anchored by a high school, and includes middle and elementary schools.
