Theodore-based boat manufacturing company Silver Ships, which makes boats for the U.S. military to blow up, has expanded its portfolio with a new workboat designed specifically for one Virginia city.

The “Endeavor 32″ is a 32-foot, aluminum “multi-mission fireboat” that is designed for firefighting, water supply operations, water rescue emergencies, patient transport and patient treatment, Silver Ships wrote in a release Wednesday. This project is an expansion to the company’s Endeavor line designed to accommodate the needs of the City of Norfolk, Virginia.
