Projects including a new Bank Independent in Decatur and work on the Von Braun Center were issued building permits within the last two weeks in the Huntsville area.

Six commercial projects in Madison, Limestone and Morgan counties exceeding $1 million have received permits since Jan. 18, according to Southern Exposure Information. That includes a more than $2.4 million rental car lot project at Huntsville International Airport.
