Democratic lawmakers invite public to hear legislative priorities
Democratic lawmakers are inviting the public to an event Thursday at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church in Montgomery to talk about their priorities for the 2024 legislative session.
The event begins at 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church, located at 454 Dexter Avenue.
The organizers named the event “Your Freedom, Your Future.”
“This will be a fantastic event as we share our legislative agenda, which is a bold and inclusive vision for progress for all of us,” Alabama House Democratic Caucus Chair Barbara Drummond of Mobile said in a press release.
Participants will include the Alabama House Democratic Caucus, Alabama Senate Democratic Caucus, Alabama Democratic Party, and Alabama Values Progress, an organization that says it aims to disrupt misinformation and increase transparency.
The legislative session begins Tuesday.
