Suspect sentenced to 20 years in prison for fatal 2021 Baldwin County shooting

A suspect in the fatal 2021 shooting of a 22-year-old man three years ago in Baldwin County was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder charges Monday.

Tyler McCryndle, 21, of Spanish Fort, pleaded guilty to the shooting death of Robert Mims Daniels, 22, in Bay Minette in July 21, according to Baldwin County Circuit Court records.

Baldwin County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Norton sentenced McCryndle to 20 years in state prison on Monday, records showed.

Daniels was found shot on West Ellis Street on July 19, 2021.

Daniels died of his wounds at a local hospital.
