An investigation is underway into an afternoon shooting in Birmingham.

The shooting happened at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Ninth Avenue West.

The extent of the male victim’s injuries was not immediately known, said Sgt. LaQuitta Wade.

No arrests have been made.
