Basketball roundup: No. 1 Jackson rolls past Satsuma
Top-ranked Class 4A Jackson rolled over Satsuma 68-27 in an Area 2 road game on Tuesday to improve to 19-2 on the season.
Keeyun Chapman, a 6-foot-3 sophomore, registered a double-double to lead the Aggies, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Senior Micah Caster scored 15 points while sophomore William Joseph Taylor scored 8 points and dished out 6 assists. Senior QJ Steele had 9 points and sophomore Landon Duckworth scored 8.
Jackson hosts Escambia County on Friday in another area contest.

MOBILE/COASTAL ALABAMA
McGill-Toolen 54, Baldwin County 50 (OT)
Class 6A No. 4 McGill-Toolen overcame an 8-point second-half deficit and rallied to beat Baldwin County in overtime on Tuesday to clinch the Area 2 regular-season title.
Ethan Stokes’ field goal with 18 seconds left in regulation tied the game and Baldwin County’s final attempt fell short.
In overtime, it was all Yellow Jackets, who held the Tigers to just 2 points in extra time. McGill-Toolen’s Grayson Brower got a steal and layup, then Jackson Murphy hit a 3-pointer with 1:33 to play to give the Jackets a 53-50 lead. Murphy came up with a steal with 33 seconds left and Zach Patrick hit a free throw for the final points of the night.
The Jackets, who were up 31-24 at half, were outscored 19-4 in the third quarter and trailed 43-35 headed into the fourth period. McGill-Toolen cut the deficit to 43-40 with an Andrew Murchison basket with 5:26 to play. It was back and forth for most of the period. Brower’s steal and layup with 40.5 seconds left pulled the Jackets within 2. Baldwin County missed a pair of free throws before Stokes’ shot tied it up.
McGill scored 31 first-half points, including two 3-pointers in the second-quarter from Will Husting. Brower finished with 12 points, while Murphy finished with 11 and Stokes had 8.
Jay Bolar scored 18 points to lead Baldwin County (19-7, 3-2). Alonzo Griffin scored 10 of his 12 in the Tigers’ big third quarter.
McGill (19-5, 5-0) hosts Spanish Fort on Friday in the final area game of the season.
McIntosh 89, Fruitdale 33
Brittney Reed had 34 points and 16 rebounds as McIntosh cruised to 20-3. Reed did not play in the second half as McIntosh led 65-20 at the break.
McIntosh plays at Citronelle on Friday.
Patrician 59, Sparta 29
Patrician led 49-11 at the half and cruised to the victory. Matthew Mize led the way with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Dalton Bracknell had 10 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds and Jay Lindsey had 10 points and 6 rebounds.
Mize had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists on Tuesday in an 84-42 win over Pickens Academy. Carson Coody had 14 points, Dalton Bracknell had 13 points and 3 assists and Canon Martin had 12 points with 3 assists.
Patrician improved to 16-1.
Vigor 77, Faith Academy 71
Al Holcombe scored 18 points and Jordan Clark and Devin Whitsett each had 11 as Vigor improved to 20-5 overall.
Terrell Johnson and Keke Malone each scored 10.
“Our guys did a good job of responding to a very tough Faith team,” Vigor coach Jairus Jackson said. “I knew Faith would be tough on the road and have a new plan, but our guys remained resilient. It was a great team effort.”
Spanish Fort 71, Robertsdale 42
The Toros had 12 players score in the Class 6A, Area 2 rout on the road on Tuesday.
Andre Winston led Spanish Fort with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Lucca Nelson also scored 15 – all in the first half. Jeremiah Abrams scored 10.
Tanner Williams led Robertsdale with 9 points.
The Toros are 11-13, 2-3 in area play and will play at McGill-Toolen on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Cottage Hill 75, Flomaton 37
Shadrick Toodle had 26 points and 3 rebounds Tuesday night as Cottage Hill clinched the Class 3A, Area 1 title on the road.
Clay Scofield followed with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. Caleb Metzner added 14 points and 8 rebounds as the Warriors moved to 17-8 overall and 3-1 in area play.
Cottage Hill will participate in the 32nd annual Hotbed Classic in New Albany, Miss., on Saturday.
Theodore 53, Murphy 49
Cameron Hill hit two free throws with 5 seconds left to ice the game for Theodore (14-11, 5-0 in Class 6A, Area 1).
Houston Cunningham scored 19 points, including a 9-of-10 performance from the free-throw line. JJ Bush followed with 12 and Hill finished with 10 to help the Bobcats to the Area title.
Theodore will play at Saraland on Friday.
Fairhope 74, Daphne 48
McRae Taul had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds as Fairhope finished a regular season sweep of Daphne
The Pirates improved to 18-4 overall.
Zeb Gafford scored 16 points, Jackson Gulley had 12 points and 6 rebounds and Spence Sims scored 11 for Fairhope.
Bayshore Christian 45, Leroy 41
Collin Hester led the Eagles with 14 points, while Carter Frego added 12.

Mikel Bonner had 20 points, 15 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots as Williamson improved to 20-6. Corien Coleman followed with 17 points.
Jonathan Johnson scored 10 and Camron Smith had 8 points and 6 assists.
UMS-Wright 66, Orange Beach 39
Seven Bulldogs scored at least 7 points as UMS clinched the Class 4A, Area 1 regular-season title.
Jake Pilger led the way with 12 and Finlay Lavelle had 11 points. Jack Blackerby scored 9. Jeff Holston had 10 rebounds.
UMS is 12-13 overall and will play at St. Michael on Friday and at McGill-Toolen on Saturday.
Baker 64, Mary G. Montgomery 59 (OT)
Desmond Williams forced overtime with a layup and Dashawn Thomas scored 10 of his 16 points in the extra period. Eighth-ranked Baker improved to 20-7 overall and 5-0 in Class 7A, Area 1. No. 10 MGM fell to 20-4, 2-2. The win gave Baker the regular-season area title.
Baker led 41-36 headed into the fourth quarter before the Vikings outscored the Hornets 16-11 for a 52-all regulation finish.
Derrick Florence led the Hornets with 17 points. Williams finished with 13 and Lovalle Nelson had 9. DJ Broughton led MGM with 18 and Zion Hunter had 13.
Baker travels to Alma Bryant on Friday.
HUNTSVILLE/TENNESSEE VALLEY
Huntsville 72, Guntersville 49
The top-ranked Crimson Panthers pushed their season record to 25-1, setting a new standard for wins in a single season set last year, with the rout at Guntersville on Thursday. Huntsville has won 22 straight this season.
Huntsville senior Caleb Harrison scored 20 points with 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocked shots in 17 minutes of play. Josh Bowman scored 18 points and had 5 rebounds and 5 blocks in 13 minutes.
The Panthers, 4-0 in Class 7A, Area 7, will travel to Grissom on Friday with the area title on the line.
On Tuesday, after an 11-day break due to snow and ice, Huntsville whipped Albertville 68-44 at home to push its home win streak to 30 in a row.
Harrison led the winners with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocked shots and 3 steals. Brayden Rivers tossed in 12 points and had 5 assists. JD Gossett scored 11 points and also had 5 assists. Bowman came off the bench to score 10 points, including a pair of huge dunks.
Albertville (20-6, 1-4) was led by John McCullars with 9 points. Keandre Yancy added 7 for the Aggies.
Austin 78, James Clemens 42
Second-ranked Class 7A Austin whipped James Clemens on the road on Wednesday, improving to 22-4 on the year. The Black Bears jumped to a 22-13 first-quarter lead and carried a 36-19 margin into halftime. Austin pushed its advantage to 63-32 headed into the fourth period.
Isaiah Baker led Austin with 27 points, including five 3-pointers and 13 points in the fourth quarter. Harry Malone scored 17, 10 in the third period. Jordan Johnson added 10 for the Bears.
Bryce Mason led James Clemens with 21 points. London Townsend scored 7 in the loss.
Florence 50, Bob Jones 49
Jullian King’s 3-pointer at the buzzer lifted Florence to the Class 7A, Area 8 win at Bob Jones on Wednesday.
The Falcons (14-8, 2-1) inbounded the ball from the opposite baseline with 2.6 seconds remaining. They threw to King, who dribbled once and shot from the left wing to beat the Patriots (7-12). The junior guard finished with 6 points.
Bryant James scored 15 points to lead Florence. Kedrick Triplett added 12 in the win. The Falcons play at Austin on Friday and host James Clemens on Saturday afternoon.
Kaden Rickard scored 22 points to lead Bob Jones.
Florence is 7-3 this season in games decided by 10 points or less while Bob Jones has a 4-8 record in such games.
Decatur 50, Hartselle 44
The Red Raiders picked up a Class 6A, Area 14 win on the road on Monday, with a 13-7 first quarter lead over Hartselle and a 20-10 third-quarter margin proving to be the difference. Decatur led 23-20 at the half and carried a 43-30 edge into the final quarter.
Kamron Gambell led Decatur with 18 points, 12 in the first half, with three 3-point buckets. Braylen Elliott scored 14 with 10 after halftime. Tre Kirk had 11 with 8 in the second half.
Ty Odom led Hartselle with 14 points, 10 in the first half. Kohl Key scored 11, 8 in the fourth quarter. Rylan Smothers scored 9 for the Tigers.
St. John Paul II 62, Randolph 55
The Falcons clinched the Class 4A, Area 15 regular-season title with the win at Randolph on Thursday.
Jaeden Harris led St. John Paul II with 24 points – 12 in the fourth quarter as the Falcons outscored the home team 24-10 in the final period. Tyler Greges scored 14 points in the win, with four 3-pointers.
Randolph 40, West Limestone 37
The Raiders earned the home win on Tuesday over West Limestone to improve to 11-10 on the year. Randolph improved to 3-1 in Class 4A, Area 15.
Tyler DeOrio led the winners with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 4 blocked shots and a pair of assists. Roan Campbell scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Garrett Trousdale finished with 5 rebounds.
Decatur Heritage 62, West End 39
The Eagles jumped to a 15-6 first-quarter lead and carried a 48-26 advantage into the fourth period to beat West End on Thursday to celebrate Senior Night. Decatur Heritage’s lone senior, Blaze Hembree, scored 10 points with 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
Paxton Tarver led DHCA with 18 points and 3 rebounds. Hayden Page scored 10 points with 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Brady Wilson scored 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

On Tuesday, Decatur Heritage beat Falkville 65-56 at home to earn its first Class 2A, Area 13 regular-season title. The Eagles rallied in the fourth quarter to escape with the win.
Decatur Heritage led 14-8 after one period and 30-27 at the half before Falkville tied the game at 43 at the end of the third quarter.
Wilson led Decatur Heritage with 20 points. He also had 9 rebounds. Page had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds with 4 assists. Nash Thomas scored 14 for the Eagles with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Tarver grabbed 9 rebounds and had 6 assists.

The Rockets improved to 14-6 on the season with the win at Mortimer Jordan on Tuesday.
Cody Vance and David Rodgers led Gardendale with 16 points apiece. Ryan Burkett scored 14 in the win. Xander Moore and Tyler Grayson added 10 points each.
Hoover 69, Vestavia Hills 51
The seventh-ranked Class 7A Bucs earned the home win over No. 9 Vestavia Hills on Tuesday, jumping to a 19-7 first-quarter lead and a 33-15 halftime advantage. Hoover led 56-32 headed into the final period.
Salim London led Hoover with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Jarrett Fairley scored 19 with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. DeWayne Brown had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. He also blocked 6 shots. Seneca Robinson scored 9 points with 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

The third-ranked Patriots rolled to the Class 3A, Area 9 home win on Tuesday. Midfield improved to 16-8 overall and 5-0 in area play.
Armonie Franklin and Brandon Riddle notched double-doubles for Midfield. Franklin scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He also had 3 assists and 3 steals. Riddle finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds with 5 assists and 3 steals. Aaron Adams-Martin scored 15 with 3 rebounds and 3 steals.
Childersburg dropped to 11-9 overall and 1-4 in Area 9.
Huffman 63, Center Point 44
The Vikings picked up the Class 6A, Area 11 win on the road on Tuesday.
Peyton Wiggins poured in 25 points, hitting 11-of-18 shots from the floor, to lead Huffman. Kevon Walker scored 16, including 8-of-11 from the foul line and 2-for-2 from behind the 3-point arc. Walker also claimed 6 rebounds for Huffman (12-13).
Mountain Brook 49, Shades Valley 47
The Spartans clinched the Class 6A, Area 10 regular-season title with the road win on Tuesday.
Ty Davis scored 18 points and finished with 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Mountain Brook. Jack Bakken and Lawson Gardner scored 10 points apiece in the win. Bakken had 5 rebounds and Gardner had 4 rebounds with 4 assists.
Heritage Christian Academy 34, Coosa Valley Academy 33
Heritage Christian improved to 7-14 on the season with the narrow win on Tuesday.

Georgiana 73, Pleasant Home 65
The second-ranked Panthers earned the Class 1A, Area 3 win on Tuesday at No. 9 Pleasant Home – their second win in two straight games with the Eagles. Georgiana is 19-2 overall and 7-0 in area play.
Noah Nelson led the winners with 20 points. Nasir Cheatham scored 15 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and ha 6 assists. Jaden Stallworth scored 14 points and claimed 13 rebounds. Maques Payton hauled down 11 rebounds for Georgiana.
On Monday, Georgiana won its home game with Pleasant Home 83-47. Six Panthers scored in double figures with two – Stallworth and Kaveon Miles – registering double-doubles.
Cheatham led the Panthers with 16 points. Payton scored 14. Stallworth had 13 points and 11 rebounds and Miles had 12 points with 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Nelson and Quan Scott scored 11 points apiece.
Brantley 78, Florala 65
The Bulldogs got 34 points and 7 rebounds from Jayden Parks in the home win on Thursday. Brantley improved to 14-7 overall and 6-1 in Class 1A, Area 2.
Dylan Davis had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Jayneis Tyson scored 13 and Jon Harper Kilcrease had 10 points and 8 rebounds.
On Monday, Brantley topped Elba 69-54 at home. Tyson scored 18 points with 12 rebounds and Davis scored 15 with 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs.

The Panthers raced to the Class 4A, Area 5 win at home on Tuesday over Booker T. Washington Magnet of Montgomery. PCA is 13-12 overall and 4-1 in the area and will play at Wilcox Central on Friday for the regular-season area title.
Cade Segars poured in 30 points to lead Prattville Christian. Collier Connell scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Brady Roberson scored 10 and also had 4 rebounds. Justin Chapman scored 8 with 8 rebounds. PJ Evans had 9 assists and 4 rebounds in the win.
Dallas County 51, Prattville Christian 45
The Hornets picked up the Class 4A, Area 5 win at home on Monday.
Brady Roberson led PCA with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Justin Chapman recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. PJ Evans finished with 9 points and 5 rebounds.
Trinity Christian 49, Evangel Christian 38
Evangel fell on the road despite 15 points from Tylon Shine. Quendarius Rudolph scored 8 points and had 6 rebounds.
Valiant Cross 54, Macon East 48
The fourth-ranked Warriors wrapped up their AISA regular season with the win over Macon East on Thursday, finishing 20-4 in coach Letwan Hall’s first season. Valiant Cross was 0-14 last season.
Deshawn Hall led the Warriors with 27 points, 16 rebounds, 6 blocks and 4 steals.
On Tuesday, Valiant Cross beat No. 6 Lee-Scott 63-55. Hall led the Warriors with 25 points, 15 rebounds, 7 blocks and 4 steals.
Dothan 72, Prattville 36
The Wolves’ offense showed up big in the first and third quarters in a rout of Prattville at home on Tuesday. Dothan (16-8) jumped to a 20-10 first-quarter lead and pushed a 39-23 halftime edge to 65-31 after three quarters.
Adrian Doyl led Dothan with 18 points. Diggy Coleman scored 12, Bryson Berry had 11 and Keith Stampley added 10.
Junior Ty Bryant led Prattville with 13 points and 4 rebounds. Freshman Isaiah Bradley added 8 points in the loss.

Bob Jones 48, Austin 15
The No. 1 Class 7A Patriots won their 15th straight with the rout at Austin on Thursday – their third Area 8 game in three days with a visit to area/intracity foe James Clemens set for Friday.
Sloan Williams led Bob Jones with 15 points in the win. Jae Smith scored 13 and had 5 assists.
The Patriots are 24-3 on the season.
On Wednesday, the Patriots whipped Florence 80-28 at home.
Jae Smith led Bob Jones with 16 points. She also had 3 assists. Zamyra Goode pitched in 15 points and claimed 4 rebounds. Williams scored 13 and Alana Obianozie added 12 in the win.
On Tuesday, the Patriots whipped Austin 53-33 in Decatur in another area game. Obianozie led the winners with 14 points.
Sparkman 52, Grissom 28
The second-ranked Class 7A Senators jumped to a 12-1 first-quarter lead over Grissom and controlled the entire game to pick up the win and wrap up the Area 7 regular-season title at home on Wednesday. Sparkman (17-7, 4-0) will host the area tournament beginning Feb. 5.
Sophomore Elise McClain led Sparkman with 9 points as 10 Senators scored in the win.
The Senators travel to Albertville on Friday and close out the regular season on Tuesday at home against Huntsville.
On Tuesday, Sparkman rolled over Ramsay in the 256 vs. 205 Challenge on the road, beating the Rams 49-31. The Senators outscored the home team 25-8 in the second half to pull away from a 23-all halftime tie.
Sophomore Khloe Bradley led Sparkman with 16 points.
Lee-Huntsville 60, Guntersville 56
The Generals rallied in the fourth quarter – holding the visitors to just 4 points – to slip past Guntersville at home on Thursday. Lee trailed 20-14 after one period, 38-26 at the half and 52-37 headed into the final quarter.
Limaya Batimba led Lee with another double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Jayla Turner scored 13 points and dished out 5 assists. Morgan Pride added 10 points in the win.
Maddie Ward led Guntersville with 20 points. Tazi Harris scored 17.
West Morgan 50, Danville 45
The fourth-seeded Rebels beat No. 5 seed Danville in the opening round of the Morgan County Tournament at Brewer High School on Monday.
Madalyn McCreless scored 15 points in the loss. Adily Alberti scored 12 points with 6 rebounds and 5 steals for Danville.
Decatur Heritage 65, Falkville 44
The third-ranked Class 2A Eagles jumped to a 23-9 first-quarter lead and were up 37-22 over Falkville at the half on Tuesday. Decatur Heritage (20-3) carried a 58-33 lead into the final period.
Katelyn Cooper led DHCA with a double-double – 17 points and 12 rebounds. Leslie Hames scored 15 points with 4 assists and Emma Eastman scored 13 with 3 assists.
On Monday, Decatur Heritage beat Cullman 54-43 on the road. The Eagles were up 8-7 after one quarter, 29-20 at the half and 41-35 after three periods.
Genie Mcghee led the winners with 18 points and 11 rebounds. She also had 7 steals. Hames scored 18 points and had 7 rebounds with 4 steals for Decatur Heritage. Cooper added 10 points with 6 rebounds.

The Bucks picked up the Class 6A, Area 16 win on the road on Tuesday. Buckhorn led 11-6 after one period and 25-21 at the half. The Bucks carried a 40-29 lead into the final quarter.
Harper McCulley led Buckhorn with 13 points and Jasmine Montague scored 10 in the win.
Kandrea Steger-Sowers led Mae Jemison with 10 points.
Madison Academy 54, Priceville 52 (OT)
The 10th-ranked Class 5A Mustangs pulled out the win at Class 4A No. 5 Priceville in overtime on Thursday. The Bulldogs outscored Madison Academy 12-9 in the fourth quarter to knot the game at 44 at the end of regulation. MA led 16-15 after one quarter and the teams were tied at 25 at the half. The Mustangs carried a 35-32 lead into the fourth.
Kenzie Privett led Madison Academy with 18 points. Regan Boyd scored 12 points while Emily Mouser and Brooklynn Tucker scored 11 points each in the win.
Abby Langlois led Priceville (13-11) with 23 points and 9 rebounds. She also had 3 steals. Carly Nelson scored 10 for the Bulldogs with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Ashlyn Johnson scored 9 points with 3 rebounds and 4 steals. Gracin Prater scored 8 points with 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

The Knights picked up the win at home on Monday, rallying in the final quarter to top Priceville. Arab led 11-5 after one quarter, 17-10 at the half before the Bulldogs pulled ahead 26-23 headed into the final period.

The Class 2A No. 8 Wildcats ran their record to 19-7 on the season with the win at Piedmont.
Katelyn St.Clair led Sand Rock with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Chloe Stephens added 8 points in the win.
Sand Rock hosts Coosa Christian on Saturday.
On Tuesday, Sand Rock rolled over Fyffe 73-42 on the road.
St.Clair exploded for 31 points to lead the Wildcats to the win. She also had 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals for Sand Rock. Stephens scored 15. Kennedy Henderson and Zoey Handy had 10 points each. Henderson also had 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
St. John Paul II 43, Randolph 34
The Falcons claimed the Class 4A, Area 15 regular-season title with a 5-1 finish with the win at Randolph on Thursday.
Hope Harrell led St. John Paul II with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Rhyan Holloway finished with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the Falcons (9-14).
Randolph dropped to 5-16.
MOBILE/COASTAL ALABAMA
Gulf Shores 100, Elberta 6
The fourth-ranked Class 4A Dolphins led 26-0 after one quarter and outscored Elberta 46-0 in the second half. Gulf Shores improved to 22-6 on the season with the Area 1 win.
Keyona Royal had 13 points and 14 rebounds in 13 minutes of play.
Gulf Shores will host Williamson on Tuesday.
Davidson 72, Vigor 36
Jenice Adjessom poured in 30 points to lead Davidson past Vigor on the road on Wednesday. Carson Dozier scored 12 in the win.
Jamonica Chambers and Jamyia Washington led Vigor with 13 points each.
UMS-Wright 50, Orange Beach 45
The 10th-ranked Bulldogs clinched the Class 4A, Area 1 regular-season title with the home win over Orange Beach on Tuesday.
UMS-Wright raced to a 16-2 first-quarter lead before Orange Beach responded with a 15-4 run in the second period. The Bulldogs carried a 42-30 lead into the fourth quarter.
Ellie Mostellar led UMS with 14 points. Noel Freeman scored 12 points and claimed 12 rebounds. Ansleigh Ishee scored 10 in the win.
UMS-Wright improved to 20-6 on the season and 5-0 in area play. The Bulldogs play at St. Michael on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Davidson 64, Alma Bryant 48
Morgan Barnett scored 18 points and Carson Dozier 17 as Davidson finished a season sweep of Alma Bryant. Zydia Johnson scored 10.
The Hurricanes were led by Mari-Margret Grayson with 17 and Madi-Marie Grayson with 15. Kaylee Williams scored 12 for Bryant.
Daphne 47, Fairhope 32
La’Merrica Johnson had 13 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists as the Trojans swept Fairhope and improved to 19-3 overall and 4-0 in 7A, Area 2 play.
Tierra Brandley chipped in 8 points, 5 steals and 4 rebounds.
McGill-Toolen 69, Baldwin County 26
Albanie Dixon scored 20 points and Reagan Burroughs added 18 for McGill-Toolen. Jayde Dempsey followed with 16.
McGill (19-7, 5-0 in Class 6A, Area 2) will host Spanish Fort on Friday.
Jackson 57, Satsuma 22
Tyra Caves scored 21 points and had 4 assists and Erica Walton had 10 points and 4 rebounds as the Aggies improved to 22-2 overall.
They host Escambia County on Friday.
Washington County 61, Chickasaw 21
The Bulldogs rolled to the Class 2A, Area 1 win on Wednesday.
Shaquondra Holcombe led Washington County with 22 points. Tymiah Burrough and Mia White scored 15 points each.
BIRMINGHAM
Hoover 48, Vestavia Hills 42
The Class 7A third-ranked Bucs slipped past No. 4 Vestavia Hills at home on Tuesday. Hoover ran its record to 20-6 while Vestavia dropped to 22-5.
The home team led 12-9 after one quarter and 26-24 at the half. The Bucs carried a 39-31 lead into the final period.
Khloe Ford led Hoover with 10 points and 9 rebounds.
Jill Gaylard scored 19 points to lead Vestavia Hills. Sarah Gordon notched a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Hewitt-Trussville 73, Oak Mountain 34
The fifth-ranked Class 7A Huskies improved to 21-5 with the Area 6 road win at Oak Mountain on Tuesday.
Jordan Hunter tossed in 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds with 7 assists for Hewitt-Trussville. Ryleigh Martin scored 16 in the win. Mia Ada added 12 points with 3 assists.
Mortimer Jordan 81, Gardendale 57
The Class 6A No. 5 Blue Devils rolled over Gardendale at home on Tuesday.
Keyarra Scottland recorded a double-double for Mortimer Jordan, scoring 23 points and dishing out 10 assists. She also had 6 rebounds. Brinley Funderburk scored 19 points, hitting five 3-pointers. Kendra Davis added 10 points with 6 boards.
Layla Berry scored 19 points to lead Gardendale. McKenzie McAnnally scored 15 and Taylor Henry added 9 for the Rockets (12-10).
STATEWIDE
Prattville Christian 91, Dallas County 13
Avery Rogers became the first Prattville Christian girl to ever score 40 points in a game in the rout on Monday. Rogers poured in 36 points in the first half. She also had 6 steals, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 19 minutes of playing time.
Kayden Carr scored 14 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Ally Blankinchip grabbed 8 rebounds and had 5 steals with 4 assists.
Top-ranked Class 4A PCA improved to 19-5 on the year and 4-0 in Area 5 play. The Panthers travel to Wilcox Central on Friday for another area game.
Georgiana 57, Pleasant Home 34
Georgiana improved to 11-8 overall and 6-1 in Class 1A, Area 3 play with the win at Pleasant Home. It was the second win in two straight games with the Eagles.
Lillie Boggan scored 24 points with 12 rebounds and 7 assists for Georgiana. Tarnasia McMeans finished with 12 points and 5 steals.
On Monday, Boggan delivered a triple-double with the 66-39 win over Pleasant Home at home. Boggan scored 23 points, claimed 11 rebounds and had 11 steals in the win, with 6 assists and 4 blocked shots.
Grace Bradley scored 11 points in the win and Nyeashia Thomas added 10.
Brantley 70, Florala 43
The Bulldogs improved to 11-8 overall and 4-3 in Class 1A, Area 2 with the win at home on Thursday.
Alex Grimes poured in 31 points and had 4 rebounds for Brantley. Coco Stamps scored 10 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had 3 assists. Anna Parker Little scored 10 points and had 10 rebounds with 5 steals and 5 assists. Mary Driggers also had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Lakeside 52, Abbeville Christian 51
The Chiefs improved to 12-10 with the slim win over Abbeville Christian.
Addy Helms scored 19 points to lead Lakeside. Addy Eriksen scored 11 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had 4 blocked shots. Dylin White scored 11 and Chloe Helms added 10 in the win.
St. James 68, Montgomery Academy 28
The Trojans improved to 21-4 in Class 3A in the Area 6 win at Montgomery Academy.
Ava Card led the winners with 20 points. Natalie Barton scored 13 and Kaitlin Mitchell added 12 in the win.
The Trojans play at Trinity on Friday.
