There is no change in The Huntsville Times Boys Power 5 high school basketball list this week because there hasn’t been any basketball due to the winter storm that sent high schools into lockdown mode for the past couple of weeks.

Most of the teams will face a packed schedule this week due to the postponements of area games.

The top 5 teams in the area are all in the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Jan. 18 top 10 rankings – with four in the top 3 of the polls. The new ASWA polls will be released on Thursday. Huntsville is No. 1 in Class 7A, Buckhorn is No. 1 in Class 6A, Austin is No. 3 in Class 7A and Madison Academy is No. 3 in Class 5A.
