Mrs. Netta and Charles, an Alabama-based TikTok couple who have gone viral, made a stop at some popular restaurants in the Magic City this week.

The couple is best known on social media for Netta cooking Charles various meals and calling for him by saying, “Charles, your lunch is ready!”

Netta and Charles first stopped at Yo Mama’s Restaurant for a plate of chicken and waffles. In a video posted to their Instagram, Netta did her usual call-out to Charles and added, “We’re in Birmingham, Alabama at Yo Mama’s Restaurant, and they said they have the best soul food here in Alabama.”

Then she asked, “Charles, taste that chicken to see if it crunch like Mrs. Netta’s.” Charles nods in agreement that it does.

Crystal Peterson, owner of Yo Mama’s, said Netta ordered catfish and grits for herself.

After leaving Yo Mama’s, the couple headed to K&J’s Elegant Pastries for their popular milkshakes.

Owner and head chef Kristal Bryant is seen in another Instagram video bringing the couple a red velvet cheesecake milkshake and an Oreo cheesecake milkshake. As Bryant delivered their large desserts to the table, Netta said, “Oh my God, this is so beautiful!”

In the background of the video, a song recorded by Netta called “Charles, Your Lunch Is Ready” is heard playing.

Both Bryant and Peterson said they noticed an increase in followers and engagement on their social media pages from the videos that Netta and Charles posted. They also said, the couple really does have fans because everyone wanted to stop to take a picture with them.

Netta and Charles live in Sylacauga, but the reason for their visit to Birmingham remains unknown. However, their latest post on Instagram showed them dressed up in formal wear saying they have a surprise coming.
