Bojangles plans expansion to 270 new locations

Bojangles has big plans for expansion. The once-regional fried chicken chain aims to open 270 new locations by the end of 2024, reports Tasting Table.

The fast food restaurant currently has more than 800 American locations, mostly concentrated in the Southeast. Last year, Bojangles opened 40 new restaurants. Bojangles has already tested the new store design in more than 10 restaurants across Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Ohio. Some of the new locations have “Biscuit Theatres” — a see-through window near the checkout counter where customers can watch their biscuits being made.

“We have been thrilled with the success and positive guest feedback on our new boneless chicken platform in expanded markets such as Dallas, Columbus, and Orlando. It’s an exciting new chapter for Bojangles, and we look forward to maintaining the momentum in the new year,” said Jim Cannon, Bojangles chief development officer, according to a report from Chain Store Age. “Seeing our franchisees succeed in new markets is a true testament to Bojangles’ excellence and emphasizes the loyalty and commitment of our operators, who are willing to evolve with us at the pace we’re going.”
