A house fire Saturday night in Marshall County claimed the life of a teenage girl.

The Marshall County Coroner’s Office said the incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Half Section Road in Albertville.

Four fire departments – Albertville, Douglas, Pleasant and Nixon Chapel – responded to a house fire at the address. Two people were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Dawn Allen, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office and the Albertville Fire Dept.
