Grand Bay man killed in collision with train, ALEA says

A Grand Bay man died Wednesday night when his vehicle was struck by a train, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

The accident occurred just after 8 p.m. Wednesday when a 2014 GMC Acadia driven by 48-year-old Bobby Levina Irby was struck by a CSX train on Saegar Road near U.S. 90, about a mile west of Grand Bay.

Levina was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, ALEA said.

No other details were released and ALEA says the incident remains under investigation.
