An investigation is underway after a shooting at an east Jefferson County bingo hall.

The shooting happened about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the establishment in the 2500 block of Pinson Valley Parkway.

Few details were available, but Jefferson County sheriff’s Lt. Joni said it appears the shooting happened inside the building.

The male victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

No arrests have yet been announced.
