Wind chill advisory issued for Central Alabama until Wednesday morning

On Tuesday at 3:50 a.m. a wind chill advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 8 p.m. until Wednesday 8 a.m. for Calhoun, Cleburne, Shelby and Talladega counties.

The weather service adds, “Very cold wind chills expected as low as zero.”

“Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute,” states the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”
