Wind chill advisory issued for Clay County until Wednesday morning

On Tuesday at 3:50 a.m. a wind chill advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 8 p.m. until Wednesday 8 a.m. for Clay County.

The weather service comments, “For the Winter Weather Advisory, freezing rain. Additional ice accumulations of a light glaze. For the Wind Chill Advisory tonight into Wednesday morning, very cold wind chills expected as low as zero.”

“Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute,” explains the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible power outages. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”
