A 15-year-old girl is dead and a 9-year-old child injured in a shooting Monday on a south Alabama interstate.

Few details were immediately available.

The shooting happened on I-165 in Prichard, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.

No suspects are currently in custody, according to a sheriff’s office spokesman.
