A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 4:42 a.m. valid from Monday 6 a.m. until Tuesday 6 a.m. for Lamar County.

The weather service says, “A wintry mix of precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch.”

“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute,” explains the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
