Reports: Ex-Alabama TE Miles Kitselman headed to SEC rival

Former Alabama tight end Miles Kitselman is transferring to Tennessee, according to multiple reports.

Kitselman, a Lyndon, Kan., native, appeared in 19 games over the last two seasons at Alabama — playing mostly special teams, and catching a total of two passes on offense — after playing the 2021 season in junior college. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

Kitselman is one of several former Alabama players who have announced transfer destinations in recent days, along with safeties Jake Pope (Georgia), Kristian Story (Kentucky) and Earl Little (Florida State), center Seth McLaughlin (Ohio State), quarterback Eli Holstein (Pittsburgh), defensive lineman Monkell Goodwin (South Carolina) and offensive lineman Terrance Ferguson (Florida State).

Several other Alabama players at other positions have also entered the transfer portal, with star wide receiver Isaiah Bond doing so on Friday. Cornerback Dezz Ricks, a 5-star recruit in Alabama’s 2023 class, announced Saturday he is entering the portal.

The NCAA transfer portal closed last week, but re-opened for 30 days just for Alabama players following Nick Saban’s retirement announcement on Wednesday.
