Alabama 4-star DL commit Zion Grady transfers to Enterprise

Four-star Alabama commit Zion Grady has transferred from Class 5A Charles Henderson to Class 7A Enterprise.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound EDGE confirmed the news to AL.com. Enterprise coach Ben Blackmon said Grady enrolled on Monday.

“He seems to be a great kid, a hard worker,” Blackmon said. “He’s jumped right in with us. From just watching a little of his film, I can tell that he’s very explosive. He runs well, has great size.”

Grady committed to Alabama in November, choosing the Tide over Auburn, Georgia and Florida State among others.

The junior is the reigning Class 5A Lineman of the Year and is a finalist for the award again this year. He will be recognized at the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s annual Player of the Year Banquet in Montgomery on Tuesday.

This season, Grady finished with 82 tackles, including 26 for a loss. He also had 10 sacks, 23 QB hurries and intercepted a pass. As a sophomore, Grady finished with 108 tackles, 22 sacks, 37 tackles for a loss and 27 QB hurries.

Grady ranks No. 2 on the 247 composite rankings of the best juniors in Alabama behind only Parker defensive back Na’eem Offord. Vigor OT Micah DeBose, Thompson EDGE Jared Smith and Thompson DB Anquon Fegans round out the top five.
