Wind advisory for Central Alabama for Friday

On Thursday at 1:05 a.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Friday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Randolph, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Lowndes, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Lee, Russell, Pike and Barbour counties.

The weather service describes, “South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Trees and large limbs could be blown down and power outages may occur,” explains the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
