In one of the most heated moments of the Friday series of votes that saw Rep. Kevin McCarthy elected Speaker of the House, Alabama’s Rep. Mike Rogers had to be physically restrained during a confrontation with Rep. Matt Gaetz.

Rogers restrained by Rep. Richard Hudson, R.-N.C., who grabbed Rogers by the face.

After the incident, Gaetz was photographed standing, smiling and flexing his bicep.

Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., addressed the incident before his nominating speech for Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., NBC News reported.

“I rise to say, wow.” Phillips said.
