The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Cedric Ralph McNeal. He was 68 and lived in Center Point.

The crash happened just before 11 a.m. Tuesday in the 5900 block of Crestwood Boulevard, in front of the Alabama Waldorf School.

McNeal was traveling eastbound in his Toyota Camry when the massive tree toppled.
