North Alabama schools delay opening Wednesday due to road conditions
Two school districts in north Alabama are delaying the start of school Wednesday morning due to road conditions, according to information shared by the districts on social media.
Jackson County and Scottsboro City schools will open two hours later than usual.
In Scottsboro, Nelson, Caldwell and Collins will open doors at 9:15 a.m. Scottsboro Junior High and Scottsboro High School will open at 9:45 a.m. The tardy bell will ring 30 minutes after opening.
The move comes after cold temperatures led to a few snow flurries and sleet Tuesday night.
