7 Michigan players added to 2024 Senior Bowl roster
Seven members of Michigan’s national championship team have accepted invitations to the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl, it was announced late Tuesday.
Wide receiver Roman Wilson, tight end A.J. Barner, offensive linemen LaDarius Henderson and Trevor Keegan, defensive end Braiden McGregor, linebacker Michael Barrett and defensive back Mike Sainristil will represent the Wolverines in the annual all-star game and NFL draft showcase. The 75th anniversary Senior Bowl takes place Feb. 3 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile.
The bulk of the Senior Bowl rosters were announced on NFL Network on Tuesday night, a day after the Wolverines beat Washington 34-13 to win their first national championship since 1997. You can view the up-to-date rosters HERE.
Wilson (6-foot, 192 pounds) led the Michigan team in receptions (48), yards (789) and touchdowns (12) in 2023. Barner (6-6, 251) totaled 22 catches for 249 yards and a touchdown as one of two starting tight ends for the Wolverines.
Henderson (6-4, 315) took over as Michigan’s starting left tackle in 2023 after transferring from Arizona State. Keegan (6-6, 320) was a three-time All-Big Ten selection at left guard.
McGregor (6-6, 257) totaled 26 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in 2023, while Barrett (6-0, 239) finished second on the team with 65 tackles. Sainristil (5-10, 182) totaled 44 tackles and a team-best six interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.
Other high-profile players already confirmed for the 2024 Senior Bowl include Oregon quarterback Bo Nix, Missouri running back Cody Schrader, South Carolina wide receiver Xavier Legette, Georgia center Sedrick Van Pran, Texas defensive linemen T’Vondre Sweat and Byron Murphy, UCLA defensive end Laiatu Latu, N.C. State linebacker Payton Wilson and Georgia safety Javon Bullard. In-state favorites include Alabama kicker Will Reichard and defensive linemen Chris Braswell and Justin Eboigbe; Auburn defensive lineman Marcus Harris, cornerbacks Nehemiah Pritchett and D.J. James and safety Jaylin Simpson; and Troy running back Kimani Vidal and linebacker Javon Solomon.
