A new breakfast and brunch spot is coming to downtown Birmingham

A breakfast/brunch concept restaurant is bringing its newest Alabama location to Birmingham.

The Toasted Yolk Café features a menu of omelets, power bowls, pancakes, Arnolds (formerly known as Benedicts), salads, sandwiches and specialty drinks.

The company website lists as “coming soon” a location at 231 20th St. S. A job listing says the restaurant intends to open this spring.

The Birmingham restaurant’s operating hours will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Toasted Yolk has existing locations in Dothan and Mobile. The rapidly-expanding chain opened new restaurants in Sarasota, Savannah, Biloxi, and other cities last year, and has more than 100 signed franchise agreements.

The chain began outside of Houston more than 13 years ago and now has spread to 11 states.
