Wind advisory for Mobile and Baldwin counties for Tuesday
On Sunday at 2:45 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid for Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Mobile and Baldwin counties.
The weather service describes, “West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.”
“Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles,” says the weather service. “People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.”
