Wind advisory issued for South Alabama for Monday and Tuesday
On Sunday at 2:45 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid from Monday 4 p.m. until Tuesday 6 p.m. for Choctaw, Washington, Clarke, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, Crenshaw, Escambia, Covington, Mobile and Baldwin counties.
The weather service comments, “South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” states the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
