Former South Alabama DB Marquise Robinson headed to SEC
Former South Alabama cornerback Marquise “Cuddie” Robinson has committed to Arkansas as a Division I transfer, he announced Friday.
Robinson was a 13-game starter for the Jaguars in 2023, finishing with totaling 36 tackles, three interceptions, three pass breakups and a fumble recovery. He has one season of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-1, 184-pound Robinson played two seasons at South Alabama after transferring from Southwest Mississippi Community College. He started 11 of 13 games in 2023, totaling 28 tackles and two pass breakups.
Robinson is the second former South Alabama player to commit to a Power 5 school out of the transfer portal in this cycle. All-Sun Belt wide receiver Caullin Lacy has already signed with Louisville.
South Alabama has a number of other players in the transfer portal, including starting safeties Jaden Voisin and Yam Banks. Voisin and Banks remain undecided on their futures.
