Alabamaâs Dallas Turner set to turn pro, report says
Alabama linebacker Dallas Turner is set to forego his final season of eligibility and enter the NFL draft, he said after Monday’s Rose Bowl loss to Michigan.
Turner, a third-year junior, was a first-team All-American and SEC Defensive Player of the Year this season. He totaled 52 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks for the Crimson Tide, whose season ended at 12-2.
“I’m gone,” Turner told Alex Scarborough of ESPN.com. “Ain’t no if, ands or buts about it.”
Turner, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native, took over as Alabama’s primary edge rusher this season following the departure of Will Anderson, who was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 draft. Turner is widely projected as a first-round pick in the 2024 draft, which takes place in late April.
