A shooting in the parking lot of Academy Sports and Outdoors in Tuscaloosa left one man injured.

The shooting happened at 7:04 p.m. Sunday outside the store on Skyland Boulevard.

Authorities said the 43-year-old victim left the scene in a private vehicle while people were still calling 911. He is being treated at DCH Regional Medical Center for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating. No arrets have been made.
