A 22-year-old man was shot and killed at a north Alabama nightclub on Christmas Eve, the Marshall County coroner said.

Coroner Cody Nugent’s office responded to Clase Azul Night Club & Bar at 12261 Highway 431 in Guntersville around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on a report of a man shot.

The victim, 22-year-old Hillard Randall Kimbrough of Guntersville, died at the scene, Nugent said.

The investigation into Kimbrough’s death was ongoing as of Sunday and is being probed by Guntersville police, according to the coroner.

Nugent said additional details may be released by Guntersville police but the department has not provided updates on the fatal shooting.
