Two women died in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday on U.S. 43 in Marengo County, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported.

Tonya Jones of Dixon Mills, 62, was driving a 2023 Acura MDX that left the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned. Jones was taken to Thomasville Regional Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.

Diane M. Mosley, 64, of York, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Jones and Mosley were not using seat belts.

The crash happened about 2:45 a.m. near the 102 mile marker, less than a mile north of Dixon Mills. Alabama state troopers are investigating.
