A suspect has been charged in the shooting death of another man in Montgomery.

Liderrio Davis, 33, is charged with capital murder in the slaying of 38-year-old Brandon Steele.

The shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 3 in the 1100 block of Lake Street in Montgomery.

Charging documents against Davis said the victim was inside a dwelling when Davis fired shots from the outside, striking Steele.

Steele was taken to the hospital where he died eight days later, on Dec. 11.

The Montgomery Police Department’s Special Operations took Davis into custody Thursday night.

He is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
