Live Updates: Men’s hoops No. 22 Auburn vs UGA

We’re live from Stegeman Coliseum for No. 22 Auburn’s (11-2, 1-0 SEC) first Southeastern Conference road game against rival University of Georgia (10-3, 0-0 SEC).

Auburn returns to action after a 61-58 victory against Florida last Wednesday at Neville Arena in front of a sold-out crowd. Playing in Athens provides a homecoming for five Tigers. Zep Jasper (Augusta), Dylan Cardwell (Augusta), K.D. Johnson (Atlanta), Jaylin Williams (Nahunta), and Jalen Harper (Mableton) are all from the state of Georgia.

Johnson is making his second visit to Stegeman as a Tiger after transferring from Georgia once he finished his freshman season.

Auburn is shooting 3-15 from the field and missed seven of their last eight shots. Georgia pushed it’s lead to five points while the Tigers are on a nearly five-minute scoring drought.

UGA 11 Auburn 10 14:47 1st Half

Johni Broome scored Auburn’s first seven points before K.D. Johnson hit a three off the bench with a little over 15 minutes left in the first half. Georgia jumped out to a 5-0 lead. Broom scored the next four points.

Broome is 2-3 from the field and 2-2 from the free-throw line. Johnson hit the three and is shooting 1-1. The rest of the Tigers are 0-7 shooting headed into the media timeout.
