Inked: 3-star Thompson safety Kaleb Harris signs with Auburn

Kaleb Harris, a 3-star safety from Thompson in Alabaster, Alabama, has officially signed with Auburn, the program announced in a release Wednesday afternoon.

Harris is part of a defensive backs class where Auburn went heavy on quantity, with four DBs committed to Auburn on the eve of National Signing Day. He originally committed to Auburn on Oct. 23, two days after Auburn’s heavy recruiting weekend during the Ole Miss football game.

With Harris on the back end, Thompson played in the 2023 Alabama Class 7A state championship game this year, where he lost to Auburn signee Cam Coleman and his Central squad from Phenix City.

According to MaxPreps, Harris had a mind-boggling 125 total tackles in 12 games playing as a safety. He also had three interceptions this year and eight for his high school career.

Albeit ranked as the 38th overall safety and 24th best player in Alabama, Harris brings a significant amount of production and experience from one of Alabama’s best high school programs when he arrives at Auburn.

Other defensive backs committed to Auburn on the eve of signing day include four-star cornerback Amon Lane-Ganus, 3-star defensive back Jalyn Crawford and the top-rated junior college safety in the 2024 class: Laquan Robinson.
