A 38-year-old man is under arrest after authorities say he inappropriately grabbed a woman in a bathroom stall at a Target in Tuscaloosa County.

The victim told authorities that on Dec. 12, she was using the bathroom at the store on 13th Avenue East. She noticed a man in the stall next to her drop to his knees, reach through to her stall and grab her on her inner thigh.

Investigators with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crime Unit’s Sexual Assault Section identified the suspect as Yonis Tomas Morales. He is charged with first-degree sexual assault.

Morales was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Dec. 15. His bond is set at $25,000 cash.

Capt. Jack Kennedy said the investigation showed that Morales has been suspected of similar activity in the past.

“Investigators were able to establish a pattern of Yonis going into the girl’s bathroom at Target for sexual gratification including a similar incident a month prior,’’ according to a deposition filed in the case.

Kennedy said Morales has used multiple other names in the past.
