Inked: Top-ranked JUCO safety Laquan Robinson signs with Auburn

Laquan Robinson, the top-ranked junior college safety, officially signed with Auburn on Wednesday, the program confirmed with a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Robinson comes from Holmes Community College in Goodman, Mississippi, but originally is from Greenville, Alabama.

In nine games this year, Robinson had 46 total tackles and one interception.

He picked Auburn over multiple other SEC programs including Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Arkansas. He is one of three incoming safeties including 3-star high school recruits Kensley Faustin and Kaleb Harris.

Robinson could immediately jump into a large role with Auburn as Auburn’s secondary has been greatly depleted by graduation and NFL draft prospects. Auburn’s two starting safeties in 2023, Jaylin Simpson and Zion Puckett, both announced they play to enter the NFL Draft following the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30.

He originally committed on Nov. 10 after taking a visit during Auburn’s game against Ole Miss on Oct. 21.
