Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson to enter transfer portal
Arkansas’ KJ Jefferson became the latest SEC quarterback to enter the NCAA transfer portal on Saturday.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Jefferson has passed for 7,911 yards and 67 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,876 yards and 21 TDs in 44 career games with the Razorbacks. He has one season of eligibility remaining.
Jefferson announced the move via Instagram on Saturday:
Jefferson passed for 2,107 yards and 19 touchdowns in 12 games in 2023 for Arkansas, which finished 4-8. The Razorbacks hired Bobby Petrino as offensive coordinator after the season.
Jefferson joins Mississippi State’s Will Rogers, Texas A&M’s Max Johnson, Auburn’s Robby Ashford, Georgia’s Brock Vandagriff and the Vanderbilt trio of Ken Seals, AJ Swann and Walter Taylor as SEC quarterbacks who have entered the portal since the end of the season. Rogers committed to Washington on Friday, while Johnson is headed to North Carolin and Vandagriff has pledged to Kentucky.
