Baker rallied from a 15-point third-quarter deficit to force overtime, but fell 91-83 at home to 10-1 Fairhope on Tuesday.

The teams fought to a 21-all standoff after one quarter before the Pirates pushed to a 40-32 halftime lead. Fairhope led 58-49 after three before the Hornets outscored the visitors 21-12 to send the game to overtime.

Fairhope hit 15-of-18 free throws in the extra period to ice the game.

Spence Sims led the winners with 25 points. McRae Taul and Jaden Champion finished with 17 points apiece. Jackson Gulley scored 14 – 10 in the second period – for the Pirates and Broder Elliason added 10 points.

Desmond Williams led ninth-ranked Class 7A Baker (10-3) with 28 points. Dashawn Thomas scored 15 while Derrick Florence and Ryan Majors had 12 apiece. Lovalle Nelson scored 11 for Baker.

Baker plays Muscle Shoals in the first round of the Mako Classic at Orange Beach High School on Dec. 20.

MOBILE/COASTAL ALABAMA

Williamson 69, Blount 67

The third-ranked Class 5A Lions slipped past Blount on the road on Tuesday behind a pair of double-double performances.

Silas Evans led Williamson with 17 points and 12 rebounds. He also blocked 4 shots on the night. Mikel Bonner scored 13 points and claimed 11 rebounds.

Johnathan Johnson scored 14 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and blocked 2 shots. Corien Coleman added 11 in the win.

Williamson (8-3) will play in the Alabama-Florida Challenge at Tate High School in Pensacola Dec. 20-22. The Lions then will play in the Gulf Coast Holiday Classic at Spring Hill College from Dec. 28-30.

Chickasaw 60, Alma Bryant 55

The Chieftains improved to 8-3 on the year with the home win on Thursday. Sophomore guard Sydrus Gilmore scored 20 points with 7 rebounds and 6 steals.

Senior forward Javon Mose notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Chickasaw travels to Satsuma on Monday.

Theodore 69, Cottage Hill 47

Houston Cunningham scored 23 points to lead the Bobcats to the home win on Thursday. JJ Bush added 14 points in the win for Theodore.

The 6-6 Bobcats will host Daphne on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Robertsdale 50, St. Michael 40

The Golden Bears blanked St. Michael 7-0 in the first period, led 21-13 at the half and 36-28 headed into the final quarter in the road win on Tuesday.

Kole Singler led Robertsdale (8-5) with 21 points. He also had 5 rebounds. Gabe Stevens scored 10 in the win.

Etienne Duchesne led St. Michael with 12 points. Weston Cotton scored 10 for the Cardinals (8-5).

Robertsdale will host Foley on Friday at 7 p.m. and St. Michael hosts Gulf Shores.

Bayshore Christian 43, Elberta 24

Senior Collin Hester led Bayshore Christian to the home win on Tuesday. Hester scored 21 points for the Eagles.

Bayshore plays in the Florala Christmas Classic against Zion Chapel on Friday.

Mary G. Montgomery 69, B.C. Rain 41

The fifth-ranked Class 7A Vikings improved to 11-0 on the year with the home win over B.C. Rain on Tuesday.

Zion Hunter tossed in 19 points in the win. DJ Broughton scored 16 points for Mary Montgomery and Erik Washington added 12.

The Vikings host Cottage Hill on Friday.

HUNTSVILLE/TENNESSEE VALLEY

Hartselle 60, Briarwood Christian 46

The Tigers improved to 8-5 on the year using a balanced attack to get the road win at Briarwood on Thursday. Hartselle jumped to a 16-3 first-quarter lead and led 28-17 at the half. The Tigers scored 16 points in both the third and fourth quarters to close out the win.

Rylan Smothers led the winners with 19 points – 10 in the first half. Kohl Key pitched in 17 points on five 3-pointers and a pair of free throws. Ty Odom added 14 points, including two 3-pointers and a perfect 6-for-6 night from the foul line.

Drew Mears hit four 3-pointers to lead Briarwood with 22 points, 15 in the second half. Caleb Keller scored 10 in the loss.

On Tuesday, Hartselle held off a fourth-quarter rally at home to edge Pell City 51-50. The Tigers led 22-10 after one quarter, 32-23 at the half and 40-34 headed into the final period.

Odom led Hartselle with 17 points, 9 on 3-pointers. Smothers scored 15 in the win.

Jaden Young led Pell City with 18 points, with four 3-pointers – two in the final period. Mike Snow added 9 for the Panthers.

Florence 71, Russellville 66

The Falcons made crucial free throws in the closing seconds to hold off Russellville on the road on Tuesday. Florence improved to 8-3 on the year with its fifth straight win.

Bryant James led Florence with 23 points. Julian King scored 12 and Alleick Shipley added 11 in the win.

EJ King scored 20 points for the Golden Tigers (3-2). Bralynn Vincent and Amir Williams had 11 points apiece.

Florence plays on Tuesday in the TimesDaily Classic. Russellville will play at Austin on Friday.

On Monday, James scored 17 points to lead Florence to a 53-51 win over Cullman at home. It was the third straight win decided in overtime or by a single bucket. Shipley scored 13 for the winners.

Evan Wilson led Cullman with 17 points. Jake Dorough scored 13 in the loss.

Deshler 74, Wilson 51

The Tigers rallied from a 29-20 halftime deficit to pull away from Wilson for the Class 4A, Area 16 win at home on Tuesday.

Aiden Woody scored 20 points – all in the second half – to lead Deshler. Khalil Bland scored 16 points, Tae Fuqua had 14 and Garrett Reid added 12.

BIRMINGHAM

Fairfield 51, Midfield 44

The second-ranked Class 3A Patriots lost at home on Tuesday to Class 5A No. 1 Fairfield.

Fairfield led 14-9 after one quarter, but trailed 28-21 at the half. Fairfield rallied to lead 38-36 headed into the fourth period.

Armonie Franklin led Midfield with 10 points. He also had 5 assists. Dujuan McKinney hit 3-of-5 3-point attempts and finished with 10 points.

Midfield 71, Indian Springs 57

Midfield had a pair of players finish with double-doubles in the Class 3A, Area 9 win on Monday.

Aaron Adams-Martin poured in 23 points with 10 rebounds and made 5 steals for the Patriots. Armonie Franklin scored 12 points and dished out 10 assists in the win. Dujuan McKinney scored 11 points for 3A No. 2 Midfield, hitting 3-of-5 buckets from beyond the 3-point arc.

Pelham 60, Prattville Christian 45

Pelham exploded for 23 points in the third period and held the home team to 6 to push its 24-23 halftime advantage to 47-29 on the way to the win on Thursday.

Collier Connell led PCA with 15 points and he claimed 4 rebounds in the loss. Cade Segars scored 14 points for PCA (5-7).

Prattville Christian will play Montgomery Catholic on Tuesday in the opening round of the Jack Schweers Capital City Classic at Trinity.

STATEWIDE

Georgiana 82, Hillcrest-Evergreen 81 (OT)

Nasir Cheatham scored a bucket and hit a free throw with 6 seconds left in overtime to lift the third-ranked Class 1A Panthers past Class 3A No. 7 Hillcrest-Evergreen in the 57th annual Richard Robertson Andalusia Christmas Tournament on Thursday. It was the second straight overtime win for Georgiana this week.

Cheatham led Georgiana (8-0) with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Kaveon Miles scored 21 points for the Panthers. Noah Nelson scored 12, Jaden Stallworth had 11 and Jacobie Morgan added 10 in the win.

On Tuesday, Georgiana topped Monroe County 85-75 in OT on the road.

Cheatham registered a double-double for Georgiana, scoring 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Stallworth scored 16 in the win and Nelson added 14 points. Morgan scored 11 points and had 7 assists.

Brantley 70, J.F. Shields 55

The Bulldogs picked up the win in their Tony Stallworth Invitational on Thursday.

Jayden Parks poured in 35 points and claimed 10 rebounds in the win. Parks also had 5 assists for Brantley. Dylan Davis also registered a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

Brantley improved to 3-3 on the season.

Pike Road 64, Sidney Lanier 61 (OT)

The Patriots overcame a 13-point deficit in the third period and forced Lanier into overtime in the game at Pike Road on Tuesday.

Jordan Holmes scored 17 points and had 4 assists for Pike Road. Dallas Henderson tossed in 14 points while Cody Markham hauled in 10 rebounds.

Hale County 61, Central-Tuscaloosa 58

The top-ranked Class 4A Wildcats picked up the home win in Moundville on Tuesday, led by freshman Gage Mayfield’s 22 points. Omarr Lewis added 10 points for Hale County.

King Larkin led Central with 20 points. Dominic Myles scored 13 points for the Falcons and Kevin Warren Jr. added 10.

Highland Home 59, Brantley 54

Jayden Parks scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds with 5 assists in a loss at Highland Home on Tuesday. Dylan Davis notched a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds for Brantley (2-3).

GIRLS

BIRMINGHAM

Pelham 50, Prattville Christian 49 (OT)

The Class 6A Panthers knocked off No. 1 Class 4A Prattville Christian in overtime on the road on Thursday.

Sophomore Tiauna King led Pelham with 19 points. She also grabbed 7 rebounds in the upset over the three-time defending state champions. Senior Karma Wynn scored 17 points and claimed 8 rebounds for Pelham.

Kayden Carr led PCA (9-2) with 27 points and 5 rebounds. She also hit two free throws with 2 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime. Avery Rogers scored 16 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and had 4 assists. Jenna McClendon hauled in 15 rebounds and had 4 steals in the loss. Leah Cate Wilson had 7 rebounds for Prattville Christian.

Prattville Christian will play B.T. Washington Magnet on Tuesday in the opening round of the Jack Schweers Capital City Classic at Trinity.

Homewood 49, Pinson Valley 34

The Patriots ran their record to 13-3 with the home win over Pinson Valley on Thursday.

Mira McCool scored 18 points to go with 6 rebounds and 5 blocked shots for Homewood. Savannah McDonald scored 17 in the win and Kayla Warren added 13.

HUNTSVILLE/TENNESSEE VALLEY

Sparkman 49, Albertville 22

The second-ranked Class 7A Senators improved to 9-3 and 2-0 in Class 7A, Area 7 play with the home win over Albertville.

Jamya Griffin scored 12 points to lead Sparkman. Carmin Rice scored 10 in the win.

Sparkman travels to Buckhorn on Monday before traveling to Myrtle Beach, S.C., to play in the 25th United Bank Holiday Invitational vs. St. Paul VI Catholic of Chantilly, Va., on Dec. 20-22.

Priceville 61, Fairview 27

The Bulldogs raced to a 22-8 first-quarter lead and carried a 45-17 advantage into halftime. Priceville is 7-4 on the season and ranked fifth in Class 4A.

Sophomore center Abby Langlois led Priceville with 21 points. She also claimed 6 rebounds. Senior guard Ashlyn Johnson notched a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, with 6 assists. Gracin Prater had 8 points, 5 steals and 3 assists.

Davis Stidham and Jayla Gorham scored 8 points each for Fairview.

Sand Rock 71, Coosa Christian 22

The seventh-ranked Class 2A Wildcats rolled to the road win at Coosa Christian on Thursday to improve to 10-2 on the season.

Katelyn St.Clair poured in 27 points for Sand Rock. Zoey Handy scored 14 in the win and Peyton Johnson added 10.

Sand Rock will host the Cherokee Classic sponsored by AlabamaONE Credit Union this weekend and will play Westbrook Christian at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Colbert County 45, Danville 26

Colbert County picked up the home win on Tuesday.

Madalyn McCreless led Danville with 8 points and Reagan Prater claimed 5 rebounds.

MOBILE/COASTAL ALABAMA

Gulf Shores 42, Faith Academy 36

The Dolphins, ranked fourth in Class 5A, improved to 11-1 on the year with the win over visiting Faith Academy. Gulf Shores led 28-10 in the first half, despite missing starting point guard Maya Griffin, who was out with illness.

Junior Keyone Royal, who is averaging a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, scored 14 points and hauled in 10 rebounds in the win. Alyssa Thompson scored 8 points for Gulf Shores.

Jaterralyn Hamilton led Faith with 12 points.

The Dolphins travel to St. Michael on Friday.

Fairhope 70, Baker 53

The Pirates improved to 7-5 on the year with the road win on Tuesday.

Nylah Loukides notched her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Peyton Frazer scored 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Ella Byrd scored 14 and Murphy Creel added 10 in the win.

Fairhope hosts Spanish Fort on Friday.

Alma Bryant 49, Chickasaw 26

The Hurricanes won their fourth straight on the road on Thursday. The victory marked the first time Alma Bryant has won four in a row since 2018-19.

Mari-Margret Grayson led the Hurricanes with 21 points.

Alma Bryant will host Mobile Christian on Friday.

STATEWIDE

Highland Home 33, Brantley 28

Alex Grimes led Brantley in a losing effort with 10 points and 5 rebounds on the road on Tuesday. Coco Stamps had 5 steals, 5 rebounds and 3 assists to go with 8 points for the Bulldogs. Myia Mount hauled in 10 rebouds for 5-4 Brantley.

Monroe County 68, Georgiana 51

The Tigers earned the win at home on Tuesday.

Lillie Boggan poured in 25 points in the loss for 4-6 Georgiana.

Springwood 58, Lakeside 48

The Wildcats from Lanett earned the AISA win on the road on Monday over seventh-ranked Lakeside.

Abby Helms led Lakeside with 20 points and Chloe Helms had 17. Addison Erickson grabbed 14 rebounds for the Chiefs.

Lakeside plays in the Lowndes Academy tournament on Friday and Saturday.
