A Mobile woman was killed when the vehicle she was driving collided head-on with a tractor-trailer Tuesday morning, police said.

Kimberly A. Garcia, 49, was driving a 2011 Toyota Carolla when the vehicle collided head-on with a Kenworth tractor-trailer around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday on Newman Road, about six miles west of Mobile, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Anna Peoples.

Garcia was taken to Providence Hospital in Mobile, where she died of her injuries, said Peoples.
