Adcock spent 27 years on the Red Raiders sidelines, starting as an assistant to Steve Rivers in 1994. Two years later, he was named head coach. He was 187-120 with seven region championships at Decatur. His 1999 team finished with an undefeated regular season. Adcock served on the board of directors for the ALFCA since its inception and he ran a recruiting fair in the Decatur-Huntsville area for many years to help senior football players in pursuit of scholarships.
Massey is a native of Chatom who served as head coach at Thomasville from 1976-79, Citronelle from 1982-98 and Grissom from 1999-2008. He finished with an overall record of 189-143. Massey’s 1991 Citronelle squad is the only Wildcats team to complete an undefeated regular season and holds the program record of 12 wins. His 2000 Grissom team also set a team record with 12 wins and reached the state playoff semifinals. Massey was a member of the 1971 Livingston State (now University of West Alabama) NAIA national champion football team and he quarterbacked the 1972 team to the national semifinals.
Perry is a Robert E. Lee High graduate who worked as an assistant at Trinity in Montgomery before joining Spence McCracken at Lee in 1982. In 1995, he took over as head coach at Lee and his 1999 team played in the state playoff finals. In 2000, he joined the Auburn University football staff, serving as director of high school relations and, later, director of football operations. He returned to the high school ranks in 2009 as head coach at St. Paul’s. He went to St. James in 2012 and his final team there won the Class 3A state title in 2022.
