A teen girl was killed at a Dothan home midday Saturday, and an adult male is in custody.

Dothan police were dispatched at 12:54 p.m. to a call of “suspicious circumstances” at a residence on Sedona Lane.

Officers arrived to find a 17-year-old girl unresponsive from what appeared to be the result of a physical altercation, police said.

Dothan Fire and Rescue treated her on the scene and then transported her to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her body will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for autopsy.

Authorities have not said how she was killed.

Minh Nguyen has been charged with murder. The relationship between the victim and the suspect has not yet been disclosed.

Nguyen is being held without bond in the Houston County Jail.
