Fire swept through a Jefferson County home early Wednesday, leaving one man dead.

Firefighters and sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 6 a.m. to the 7200 block of Taylors Ferry Road in Concord, said sheriff’s Lt. Joni Money.

An adult male was found dead inside. His identity has not yet been released.

Money said the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office will be investigating the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire.  No foul play is suspected.
