Former Georgia QB Brock Vandagriff commits to SEC team

Two days after hitting the transfer portal, former Georgia quarterback Brock Vandagriff has committed.

The former 5-star prospect committed to Kentucky on Wednesday.

Kentucky will now turn to a transfer portal QB once again following the departures of Will Levis and Devin Leary in recent seasons.

Vandagriff, a former five-star prospect who was the No. 22 overall recruit and No. 4 QB in the 2021 cycle, will have two years remaining of eligibility.

Vandagriff sat behind Stetson Bennett at Georgia in 2021 and 2022 before backing up Carson Beck this season. While at Georgia he totaled 20 passing attempts, completing 12 for 165 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Georgia is coming off a 27-24 defeat at the hands of Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. The loss snapped a 29-game winning streak for the two-time defending champion. The loss knocked the Bulldogs out of the College Football Playoff.

No. 6 Georgia (12-1 will play No. 5 Florida State (13-0) will play on Dec. 30 in the Orange Bowl, after both programs felt like they deserved a chance to play for the national title.
