Alabama commits Ryan Williams and Antonio Coleman of Saraland, Jaylen Mbakwe of Clay-Chalkville, Isaia Faga and Rydarrius “Red” Morgan of Central-Phenix City and Quinton Reese of Ramsay will get a preview of what it’s like to play in their future home of Bryant-Denny Stadium this week.

But they aren’t the only blue-chip prospects who will be putting their skills on display at the AHSAA Super 7. The games begin Wednesday night with the star-studded Class 7A matchup between four-time defending state champion Thompson and undefeated and top-ranked Central-Phenix City.

That game will feature the state’s No. 1 senior prospect, recent Auburn commit Cam Coleman. Coleman will be facing off against Thompson safety Kaleb Harris, a future Auburn teammate. Clay-Chalkville linebacker D’Angelo Barber is the third Auburn commit in the Super Seven.

All seven games feature recruits who are expected to star on the college level after completing their high school careers – none more so than the Class 6A game that will wrap up the championships Friday night.

In addition to Barber, that game will feature Williams and Mbakwe, two of the fastest and most dynamic playmakers in the country.

The Super 7 as a whole will feature at least 17 players who have already committed to Power 5 colleges. In addition to Auburn and Alabama, there are players committed to Texas, Oregon, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, North Carolina State and Cincinnati.
