Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel enters NCAA transfer portal
Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel has entered the NCAA transfer portal, he announced on social media Monday.
Gabriel passed for 3,660 yards and 30 touchdowns this season for the Sooners, who are 10-2 and will play Arizona in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28. He threw for 6,828 yards and 55 touchdowns while also rushing for 18 scores in two years at Oklahoma.
Gabriel began his career at Central Florida in 2019, and transferred to Oklahoma prior to the 2022 season. He got an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID pandemic in 2020 and redshirted following an early-season injury in 2021, meaning he has one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.
In 50 games over five college seasons, Gabriel has passed for 14,865 yards and 125 touchdowns. Both totals are eighth in FBS history.
