An Attalla man was killed in a single-vehicle Sunday in Etowah County.

Alabama State Troopers Monday identified the fatality victim as Michael P. Wise. He was 66.

The wreck happened at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Sand Valley Road, about five miles north of Attalla.

Senior Trooper Justin O’Neal Wise was driving a Chevrolet C2500 that left the road and hit a tree. He was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
