A California man will spend the next 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to shipping methamphetamine with an estimated street value of more than $500,000 to the Mississippi coast.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, an anonymous tip in October 2019 led the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to a PODS container being shipped by 41-year-old Shaun Patrick Fuller of Los Angeles to a residence in Jackson County, Miss.

The anonymous tipster said the PODS container was full of drugs intended to be trafficked on the Mississippi coast.

Agents located the PODS container and a K9 alerted on the container, prompting the issuance of a search warrant. The search uncovered 1,342 grams of methamphetamine that tested at 100% purity, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. The meth has an estimated street value of $536,800.

Fuller initially pleaded not guilty, but in August reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors. Fuller was facing a maximum sentence of life in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.
