A Lowndes County electronic bingo hall that previously defied Alabama Supreme Court orders to halt its operation was shut down again Wednesday after the state executed a search warrant at White Hall Entertainment.

White Hall was closed after Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall’s office obtained a temporary restraining order against the facility that involved more than 600 illegal slot machines and several entities associated with the location, Marshall said in a statement.

Authorities sealed the facility and the assets of the five entities — Cornerstone Community Outreach; Winter Sky LLC; White Sands Technology LLC; BB23 LLC; and R&J Holding Company, Inc. — were frozen, the attorney general said.

“Today’s operations reflect the ongoing enforcement of previous orders issued by the Alabama Supreme Court for Lowndes County,” Attorney General Marshall stated. “The individuals, building owners, and operators of these illegal machines acted in defiance of the law, local court orders, and Supreme Court of our state. Rackets such as these will not be tolerated in Lowndes County or elsewhere in Alabama.”

White Hall Entertainment was previously shut down after the Alabama Supreme Court issued an order in September 2022 finding electronic bingo at the site was an ongoing nuisance to Lowndes County.

“White Hall Entertainment chose not to abide by the Circuit Court’s order and instead reopened with illegal gaming machines,” the attorney general’s office said.
