NewsNation announces Republican presidential primary debate programming in Alabama

NewsNation, the cable TV network host of the Republican presidential debate next week, will kickoff its “Debate Week” broadcasts on Monday, and will have almost its entire TV lineup at the University of Alabama on Wednesday.

The network, in a press release Tuesday, announced its schedule of programming with several live programs from the University of Alabama, where the debate takes place from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Monday broadcasts

Beginning Monday, the network’s chief Washington correspondent, Blake Burman, will moderate the political ensemble program, “The Hill,” live in front of the Frank Moody Music Building. The debate will take place inside the music building, home to the university’s School of Music.

Tuesday schedule

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, “NewsNation Now with Connell McShane” (weekdays, 2-4 p.m.) and “On Balance with Leland Vittert (weeknights, 6 p.m.) will broadcast live from The Quad, the center of the university’s campus.

Wednesday’s pre- and post-debate programming

One the day of the debate, nearly the entire NewsNation lineup will broadcast live from Alabama, including “NewsNation Now with Connell McShane,” “The Hill,” and more.

Before the debate, NewsNation will air “Countdown to the NewsNation Republican Primary Debate,” a two-hour news special hosted by Chris Cuomo with Vittert, the chief Washington anchor. That show will take place live from inside the debate hall.

Immediately following the event, the network will present a special post-debate show hosted by Cuomo and Vittert, with additional analysis and commentary from Political Editor Chris Stirewalk and a variety of NewsNation reporters and contributors.

Throughout debate day, NewsNation contributors will offer commentary and analysis, including senior political contributor George Will, as well as former Trump administration officials Sean Spicer and Mick Mulvaney, and former Obama administration official Johanna Mask. Additional news coverage will be provided by Washington correspondents Kellie Meyer and Brooke Shafer.

An encore presentation of the debate will be available on NewsNation at 11 p.m.

12 p.m. to 2 p.m. “NewsNation Now with Nichole Berlie”

2 p.m. to 4 p.m.: “NewsNatoin Now with Connell McShane” – Live from the University of Alabama

4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: “The Hill” – Live from the University of Alabama

5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: “Countdown to the NewsNation Republican Primary Debate” anchored by Chris Cuomo – Live from the University of Alabama

7 p.m. to 9 p.m.: “NewsNation Republican Primary Debate” – live from the University of Alabama

9 p.m. to 11 p.m.: “NewsNation Republican Primary Debate Special Report” anchored by Chris Cuomo – Live from the University of Alabama

11 p.m. to 1 a.m. – An encore presentation of “The NewsNation Primary Debate” with partners “Megyn Kelly Show” on SiriusXM Radio and The Washington Free Beacon.

Where else to access debate

It will be simulcast in the country’s Eastern and Central time zones on Nexstar’s broadcast television network, The CW. Viewers in the Mountain and Pacific time zones will be able to watch the debate on their local CW TV affiliate. The debate will also be livestreamed on NewsNation’s website, www.NewsNationNow.com, and on Rumble. An audio broadcast of the debate will be available on SiriusXM Triumph channel 111.

Thursday broadcasts

The station will close out the week on Thursday, Dec. 7, with “NewsNation Now with Connell McShane,” “The Hill,” and “Elizabeth Vargas Reports” live from the University of Alabama.
